HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

Well yesterday saw my birthday, and what a great day it turned out to be.
I had arranged to meet my friend Lisa and Kieren my auntie ( more like my sister really) at Big Girls Art Club and had been looking forward to it all week.
Its a wonderful chance for us to get together and be creative in a relaxed atmosphere. Jules who runs the club is such a lovely person and is so generous with her time and facilities.
We were very productive and I cant wait until next months sessions to paint our creations.

Upon returning home my dear hubbie asked me to get changed as he was taking me out for an early dinner, excitedly I got changed and rushed back downstairs.
He seemed in no rush to go out and all became clear when Lisa and her family arrived at the door. They were followed by Patsy and Adam some other friends, so alongwith Andy, Kieren and Alan we had a brilliant afternoon.

Darren and Andy got very very wet bbq-ing in the rain, but it was much appreciated by all.

BINGO- Just what I needed

Last night saw the annual school Bingo night, which the children and I thouroughly enjoy.
Once again we were lucky and called " HOUSE" and had the choice of 2 great prizes.

For once in my life I made a very sensible adult decision and turned down the Sunday lunch for two in a posh nearby hotel, opting for an hours professional carpet cleaning.

It turns out to be the same person I was considering hiring to do the job, I love it when things like this happen as they often do.

My hubbie says coincidence I say that I`m being looked after from above.

Anyway I am looking forward to nice clean carpets and will have to make sure that Alfies little excitement sprinkles are avoided in the future.

Bloom where you are planted.

Our garden isn`t very big but I like to make the most of it.
At the moment it is dominated by this beautiful rose bush which just gets better every year. We have several pots with hostas and fuschias which help with colour and out front a gorgeous hanging basket and pots with patio plants in.
We may live on a main road but I like to make a statement and it certainly cheers me up, and I love to see and hear people comment on our display.

Think I am going to bring some of those gorgeous roses inside so I can enjoy them all day long.

I was lucky to have been brought up in a small village with a large garden, but I have a philosophy that you should just " BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED" just like my lovely rose bush.
